Our Beginning
OUR STORY
At Jackwagon Mobile Bar & Catering, our journey began long before the establishment of our business. My name is Evan, the proud owner of Jackwagon MBC, and my background is deeply rooted in service to our country. Having spent over a decade in the United States Marine Corps, I served in various roles including Mechanic, Maintenance Chief, and Drill Instructor. Throughout my military career, I gained invaluable insights into the importance of leadership and the drive to pursue my entrepreneurial ambitions.
The inspiration for Jackwagon MBC struck during my time as a Drill Instructor when I encountered my first mobile bar at an event. As I contemplated my transition out of the military, the idea of starting a mobile bar using classic vehicles to serve drinks began to take shape. The seed was planted, and I was determined to bring this vision to life.
The journey commenced with the restoration of a 1955 GMC 150 truck, which holds sentimental value as one of my father's earliest vehicles. While the restoration of the '55 GMC is still underway, the desire to kickstart the business led me to acquire a second vehicle. Leveraging the skills acquired during my military service, I transformed an old wheat grain truck into a visually striking and functional drink-serving marvel.
Driven by a passion for service and a commitment to excellence, Jackwagon Mobile Bar & Catering aims to deliver unforgettable experiences, one drink at a time.
All of the work that went into fixing the classic 1955 GMC truck was done by my own hands. To see the transformation of the vehicle from its original state to where it is now you can visit my Instagram. https://www.threads.net/@evan.schoenwald
As for the work on the 1957 Chevy, it can be found on the Jackwagon MBC page on Instagram. Both of the vehicles have been worked by my own hands from the metalwork and fabrication to the woodworking of the side boards of the truck and the wine barrels.
